Ten Things About Me

1. I am a die hard Red Sox fan. My mom and grandparents: also die hards. I am a Yankee hater, but I suppose this goes without saying. Unlike others in the nation, I respect Torre and Cashman and even a few of the players (Bernie Williams, for one). I actually have a red sox tattoo (the one and only tattoo I will ever get) on my lower back. I love wearing low rider jeans in NYC.

2. Occupation: Project Manager. I work in a publishing environment, along with editors and designers. It's a job, what can I say? I am also OCD, therefore my sickness causes me to relish spreadsheets and formulas and specificity. Creative types usually hate me, but I graduated from art school, so go figure.

3. Only child, but was never spoiled.

4. First crush: Shaun Cassidy. First concert arena show: (oh dear, this is embarrassing) Brian Adams (Reckless tour, terrible seats). First college concert: Fugazi. First kiss: I was 13, and it was awful. First apartment: 1 block from Fenway (a shared studio...yikes). First gray hair: 1999 (I was 28, but mercifully, there haven't been many since).

5. I have seen the band Rush 5 times. I still can't believe this. I've spied Geddy Lee behind home plate during games with the Jays. I didn't realize he had season tickets! I'm not as big a fan as I once was, but it was fun to see him sitting there.

6. Although I appreciate both new and old music (of many varieties), I am a classic rock aficionado. Ask me anything. I think I could even stump the Buey.

7. I am allergic to mussels. But no other shellfish. I used to think this was weird until a friend of mine told me that they had the same affliction.

8. I lived in Nashville once. I won't ever do that again. I've lived in other states, too, but I hate being so far from Fenway. Also, I love the snow. New England winters are not for the weak, but I enjoy them.

9. I'm a magazine-aholic. It's awful. I actually hide them after I buy them for fear of my husband finding out how much $$ I've been dropping on them.

10. I live in Salem, and until recently I did have a black cat. I had to put her down and that was far more difficult than I ever imagined it could be. She was only 5 pounds, but she would kick your ass. I miss my little Greta.
